What we treat
Cocaine addiction
Cocaine use often holds together for a long time before it does not. Work continues, the bills get paid, and nobody outside the house notices. What changes is how much of the week gets arranged around it.
What it looks like
Weekends that start earlier and end later. Money that does not add up, and explanations that do not either. Long stretches of sleep afterwards, a flattened mood in the days between, and irritability that the family learns to schedule around. Keeping up with work does not, by itself, mean that cocaine use is under control.
What helps
There are no FDA-approved medications for cocaine use disorder. Treatment can include time away from triggers, individual and group therapy, and care for anxiety or depression that occurs alongside substance use. Sleep, mood, and cravings need attention during withdrawal, with support matched to the person’s symptoms.
